Welcome to StringBean! This guide walks you through signing in for the first time after your organization has added you as a user.

Before you start

Your administrator creates your StringBean account and sends you the following:

If you haven't received your credentials, contact the person at your organization who manages StringBean — usually an IT admin or your manager.

Sign in for the first time
  1. Open a supported web browser, or launch the StringBean mobile app on your phone or tablet. See System Requirements for supported devices and browsers.
  2. On web: Go to https://app.stringbean.tech | On mobile: Open the StringBean app
  3. Enter your username or email address and temporary password.
  4. Select Sign in
Set your new password

After signing in with your temporary password, you'll be prompted to create a new permanent password before you can continue.

  1. Enter a new password.
  2. Confirm the password.
  3. Select Save.

Use this new password the next time you sign in.

Choose a password you'll remember but that's hard for others to guess

This is the same screen you'll see if you ever reset a forgotten password. See Resetting Your Password for more details on the password reset flow.

What happens next

Once you're signed in:

  • Take a moment to set up your profile in Account Settings — add your full name, contact info, and notification preferences.
  • If you plan to use StringBean on your phone, install the mobile app. See Install or Update the StringBean Mobile App.

Troubleshooting

I didn't receive my credentials

Contact your organization's StringBean administrator. They can resend your username and reset your temporary password.

I forgot my password

Select Forgot password? on the login page and follow the prompts to reset it. See Resetting Your Password for the full process.

My credentials don't work

Double-check that you're entering the username exactly as your administrator sent it (often case-sensitive) and that there are no extra spaces. If it still doesn't work, your account may not be fully activated — contact your administrator.
