Searching, Filtering, and Sorting on Mobile

Most list screens in the StringBean mobile app support searching, filtering, and sorting to help you find what you need quickly. This article covers each of these in detail.

Searching

Use the search bar at the top of any list. Results filter as you type. Tap the X to clear your search.

Filtering

Tap the filter icon (next to the search bar) to open the filter screen. A small dot appears on the icon when filters are active.

Filters available everywhere

• Quick date range — Today, Last 7 Days, or Last 30 Days
• Custom date range — Pick a specific "From" and "To" date
• Location — Pick one or more locations

Additional filters for Assignments

• Status — Open, In Progress, Completed, Canceled, Overdue, Due Soon (multi-select)
• Assigned To — Pick specific users
• Assigned Team — Pick specific teams

Additional filters for Daily Notes

• Hazard Level — 1 through 5
• Created By — Pick specific users or teams

Additional filters for Exceptions

• Show Resolved — Toggle to include resolved exceptions (off by default)
• Created By — Pick specific users

Tap Show Items at the bottom to apply. Tap the red trash icon to clear all filters.

Good to know: Filters are remembered between sessions. Clear them explicitly when you no longer need them.

Sorting

Some screens have a sort button. Tap it to choose:

• Date (newest first — default)
• Title (alphabetical)
• Property Title
