Make an independent copy of an existing workflow template to use as a starting point for a new one. The original stays untouched.

You can duplicate any workflow template to create a copy you can modify without affecting the original. This is useful when you want to base a new workflow on an existing one — for example, creating a "Monthly Inspection — Building B" workflow from your existing "Monthly Inspection — Building A" template

Duplicate a workflow

  1. On Web, go to the Team Library and find the workflow you want to duplicate
  2. Select the vertical 3-dots in bottom right corner of the card
  3. Choose Duplicate Workflow from the list
  4. Enter a Title (required) and Description (optional) for the duplicated workflow
  5. Click Duplicate

Duplicates always appear in the top-level (root) Team Library folder, regardless of where the original is stored — including nested folders or your Favorites.

What gets duplicated

The duplicate is a complete copy of the original — same beans, same decision logic, same structure. From the moment it's created, the two workflows are independent: editing one has no effect on the other. New duplicates start as unpublished, so you can make changes before anyone uses them.
